Prosthetics Cosmetic Crowns & Veneers in Uijeongbu
We match the shade and shape to the surrounding teeth so the restoration doesn't stand out.
Cosmetic restorations at a glance — a crown covers a root-canal-treated or badly broken tooth in zirconia or ceramic. We fit it to your bite height, gum line and contact with neighboring teeth so it rarely needs remaking, and for a missing tooth, when the neighboring teeth are healthy, we consider an implant before a bridge. Fees by material and site are all published.
When are cosmetic restorations considered?
If you're concerned about the condition of your jawbone, you can use the Jawbone Self-Check before your visit to see what to look out for. 6 questions, takes about a minute.
Cosmetic restorations — how does it work?
Diagnosis
We check how much tooth remains, the condition of the root, and bite height, then decide how much to cover.
Tooth Preparation
We trim only as much as the thickness of the restoration requires. Our approach is to keep as much of the tooth as possible.
Deciding shade and shape
We match the shade by looking at the color and surface texture of the surrounding teeth.
Fabrication & Fitting
After trying in the fabricated restoration, we adjust the bite height and the part that meets the gum before fitting it.
Bite check
We check that biting force doesn't concentrate on a single spot when you actually chew.
The process and timeline can vary depending on oral condition; the exact plan is provided after examination.
What should I know before deciding?
Our approach to cosmetic restorations
Boston Miso Dental Clinic, Uijeongbu — Dr. Jongbum Lee, Clinic Director · Board-certified specialist in Advanced General Dentistry
- ✓If a tooth can be saved, we always review preserving it first
- ✓We first decide the area that needs covering, and prepare only as much as necessary
- ✓Matched in color and shape to the surrounding teeth for a restoration that doesn't stand out
- ✓The Clinic Director who consults with you also personally performs the procedure
What to know beforehand
- !Crowns and other restorations don't last forever either, and they may need to be remade depending on your gum condition and how well they're cared for.
- !Bruxism or a habit of frequently chewing hard food raises the risk of fracture.
- !The margin where the crown meets the gum is prone to decay, so brushing and regular check-ups are needed.
- !Depending on the condition inside the tooth, root canal treatment may be judged necessary first.

If chewing is still uncomfortable after a restoration, what do you check?
Before simply remaking a restoration, we check the condition of the teeth and gums, the bite, and the TMJ together. Discomfort alone doesn't mean the bite height is the problem. In one published bite-reconstruction case, we took over treatment that had started under the clinic's previous dentist, reassessed the overall bite height while placing the restorations, and used temporary restorations to confirm the patient had adapted.

Before covering it, we check how much tooth remains
Depending on how much natural tooth remains, the right method — filling, partial restoration, or a crown — differs.
Through examination, we first confirm the scope you actually need now.
